Is Hip Hop Going WASPY?

One has to question where the hip hop scene is going these days. I myself a fan of some hip hop, I am noticing a new trend. More and more am I seeing these gentlemen in Armani, rather then Dickie. So what's the deal? Is it that these men have made millions from their fan base, and now do not feel the need to sport the ball cap, and baggy jeans? Or is it something deeper? Have these gentlemen come to the conclusion that they are indeed roll models, and are trying to sway their fan base to be more gentlemen then thug, or living the thug life? I for one, am glad to see the new change. No more am I the stuffy preppy black guy, and my style of dress is now becoming popular and cool again within the black community.

Sean Puffy Combs. If you've got it flaunt it, and he has it all. Mentored by the late Biggy Smalls, Sean Combs (P Diddy) has built a multi-million dollar industry. From his own clothing label Sean John, to restaurants, and music labels. He is the host of a slew of shows on VH1, and it is a well known fact that he dated Jennifer Lopez.

Jay Z hanging with Billionaire Bill Gates. Jay Z another Rap artist who seems to have crossed the sartorial lines. Not only is he an artist, but a amazing entrepreneur. If more rap artist keep this up, we will be seeing more brothers wearing Brooks Brothers in the hood.

Mr, Bentley a Ralph Lauren New York store employee makes good. After working for Ralph Lauren at the Manhattan Polo Mansion, Mr Bentley went on to work as Sean Puffy Combs (P Diddy) assistant. Mr Bentley now on his own with a new single, and a television show is taking the world by storm. Thanks to those who helped Mr Bentley in his career, as we need more black men to show our young that chivalry is not dead.

Actually,it just goes to show that even though hip hop has it's own style,it isn't just a look, and that rap music has it's own sound, and it isn't just a hook.Wow.I'm going to use that.Seriously, I think that for one, those aforementioned fellows have experienced, like myself, how dressing well can very well be, in a word, fun. They also have the resources which to sustain their sartorial whims. Isn't whimsy such a gay word?Funny,I know...
