What's In A Word?

I don’t know why I even thought about this, but it is interesting. Have you ever taken a look at the word bench? I know something simple. The word is actually an ancient German word for bank.

That got me to thinking about bank and how it relates to bench. What is a bank? A place where one keeps funds, or what controls waters. So now we have bench, and bank. If a bank controls waters, it would be safe to say that it controls the current, right? So now we have bench, bank, and current. Do you see what I’m getting at? No, not yet, lets keep going.

Current is closely linked to currency, a judge rules from the bench, and with that he control the motion of the court, and it's current.

Interesting how that works.
